Bollywood's new sensation Deepika Padukone is acting opposite to Farhan Akhtar in the movie titled 'Kartik Calling Kartik'.
Deepika Padukone started her career with Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’.The script of the film has been written by Vijay Lalwani.
Farhan Akhtar is not only doing the lead role in the movie but also producing the movie.
The shooting already started at at Kochi Fort, Kerala and some funny events reported by media from there.
A group of 20-25 youngsters gathered there and asked Farhan and Deepika to dance with them.
Initially the stars refused but the youngsters stuck to their demand and later they got frenzied and started shouting. Finally, Deepika and Farhan had to give in and they danced for at least 10 minutes along with the fans to the title song of Rock On .

Hmmm... They can to learn a lot from Kerala!!!

A section of the media reports that Cinematographer-turned-director P. Sukumaran is likely to get recently-married Gopika as the heroine in his upcoming Swantham Lekhakan.
The movie starring Dileep as lead tells the story of an investigative journalist.Gopika's last movies before marriage was super hit Veruthe Oru Bharya opposite Jayaram.
Dileep and Gopika have worked together in many movies including the super hit Chandupottu.
The new movie will be produced by Dileep’s brother-in-law and actor Madhu Warrier.

The cricket lovers of Kochi can enjoy!.Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has announced the construction of a new state-of-the-art cricket stadium in Kochi.

The stadium is expected to come up in three years. The KCA has acquired 23 acres of land at Edakochi along the Vembanad lake, where the stadium is coming up.
According to KCA the proposed stadium will be designed along the lines of some of the famous venues across the world.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium which already has hosted many one-day internationals and the city will have another international stadium soon.
The Kerala cricketer Sreesanth is struggling to get a place in the Indian team,one day,twenty 20 or test matches.But at least Malayali's can expect one international quality cricket stadium in Kochi.

So thats it.Kerala again proved that it is as an investor-hostile state and the educated youths of Kerala can again start moving outside Kerala or other countries in search of jobs.
The proposed Smart City was expected to generate direct employment for 80,000 people and provide indirect employment to another 20,000 people.
You can blame the  'red tape' development style of Kerala or the Smart city Dubai the Gulf-based company.But it seems the is the much hyped Kochi Smart City  project will not become a reality.The media reports that the reason behind the exit of Dubai Smart city is that they insisted on 12 percent of the land for the project be freehold.But Kerala has told Smart City Dubai it will not be given freehold rights over the IT park in Kochi to be built by the developer.
V S Achuthanandan had laid the foundation stone of the Smart City project on November 16, 2007.This project would have changed the face of Kerala and aspirations of millions of Malayalis working abroad.Because of the lack sufficient opportunities in Kerala Majority of techies moved to Bangalore or elsewhere.The small companies of Trivandrum Technopark failed to attract techies in terms of Salary and access to global companies.
Many of them hoped to comeback to Kerala once the Smart city become a reality.


It seems that the only business that can flourish in Kerala is 'Hartal and 'Bandh'.Every political parties are very liberal in announcing and executing  hartal and bandh and they will make sure that that will be a great success. What if they show the same interest in converting Kerala into an investor friendly state ?

The biggest mystery is Why common man in our state still supporting the politicians?.Perhaps we can consider that as the eighth wonder of the world.

Press Information Bureau (PIB) press release states that the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India has signed a Grant of Permission Agreement for establishing, maintaining and operating a Community Radio Station (CRS) at Wayanad Social Service Society (WSSS), Mananthvady, Kerala.

Community radio is a localized type of radio service that caters to the interests of a certain area. CR broadcasts material that is popular to a local audience but is overlooked by more powerful broadcast groups.The Community Radio Forum, India, was registered as a 'Society' and 'Trust' on 26 February 2008.

The Community Radio Service in Mananthavady is named as ‘Community Radio Mattoli’.The Community Radio Station is expected to be operational within three months as per the agreement.Wayanad Social Service Society was established in 1974.Let us expect that government will sanction more CR across the state.

India Post signs up with ARM iSOLULTIONS, a Hermes subsidiary, to launch travel ticketing services in the brand name of Genie Ease-Ticket.
Through the service the customers would be able to get tickets of all airlines, rail and bus services and hotel room booking.
'Genie Ease-Ticket' will cover 177 post offices at Kerala Postal Circle.The service is expected to start from September 15th, 2008.
According to ARM iSolutions Genie Ease-Ticket shall be available at more than 8000 post offices across India in next 12 - 15 months.
The service already introduced in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in 371 and 327 post offices

This is absolutely true and in fact if you say 'There is No quality and only quantity' then no body can blame you!

  • The best actor award went to director-turned-actor Lal for his performance in the movie "Thalapavu".
  • Priyanka won the best actress award for her performance in "Vilapangalku Appuarthu".
  • Anoop Menon second best actor.
  • Second best film 'Bhoomi Malayalam" by TV Chandran.
  • Praveena bagged the second best actress award for her performance in Oru Pennun Randu Anum.
  • Best Comedian -Mamukoya.

There were no awards for the children films, short fiction and documentary sections.
